Siena Nichols (USA) Wins 2023 Mayor’s Cup

Congratulations to Siena Nichols and her team (Maddie Nichols, Cassady Lorentzen, Lili Brennen) from Balboa Yacht Club for winning the 2023 Mayor’s Cup Women’s Match Race Invitational! Siena is a freshman in high school and finished first place in this Grade 4 event. The impressive competitor list included several top ranked sailors, as well as the fourth ranked female skipper in the world!

Thank you to Regatta Chairs Lisa Meier and Camille Daniels, Principal Race Officer Patrice Rachlin and her Race Committee team, and Chief Umpire Colleen Cooke and her team of umpires. Special thanks to Vice Mayor Cindy Allen for participating in the awards ceremony.
