The Womens International Match Racing Association and North U are continuing their series of introductory clinics in 2008. The North American schedule has been published with more venues throughout the world being added.
The clinics are designed to increase participation in womens match racing by bringing in some of the sports best champions, including Liz Baylis, Dave Perry and Katie Spithill, to share their expertise with the growing group of womens sailors looking to win in match racing.
The following dates and North American venues have been confirmed:
• May 9-11 - Indian River YC, Cocoa, Florida
• May 23-25 - Rochester YC, Rochester, New York
• June 6-8 - Sail Sheboygan, Sheboygan, Wisconsin
• June 20-22 - Milwaukee YC, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Match Racing Clinic Curriculum was created by Dave Perry and Liz Baylis with assistance from North U. The course combines shore-side sessions with on the water drills and races. The clinics are targeted to racing sailors. Prior match racing expe¬rience is not required. The clinics will be non-spinnaker.
