Brazil wins, was second and Spain third Mexico
Valle de Bravo, Estado de Mexico (15 March).- The first Ibero-American Championships Womens Match Race in Mexico –Valle de Bravo- had a good organization and Brazil won the title thanks to a good performance led by Juliana Senfft, who led his crew to the first.
Silvia Roca Spain as captain, stayed in second place, while Mexico, which took two boats, finished third and fourth place of the fair, which brought together athletes from 10 nations.
Both coaches of the teams the same as sportsmen, were pleased by the event as the Yacht Club Avandaro afforded every facility for competition.
In this way, the first Ibero-American Championships Womens Match Race in Mexico was hailed by the participating delegations, since the beginning of it with all the support and facilities for organizing the competition.
In this regard, the Secretary General of the Iberoamerican Sailing Federation, Portugals Armando Goulartt, was happy for the organization of the event and said that Mexico expects to host this event for the second time.

He mentioned that the idea is to make every American this year to give continuity to the event and that the sailors remain in constant competition, "next year we might have to Uruguay and Spain to carry out, but we are open to receive proposals from other Latin American nations .
Countries that are part of the FIVELA are Andorra, Angola, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Venezuela and Mexico.
Goulartt noted that Mexico deserves double congratulations, one and two by the organization because it was a surprise to find two boats in the first four places, then that in this country has never been done Match Racing.
The president of the FIVELA, Ralph Nelles, thanked the competitors and wish them luck in the upcoming fair match race.
