Royal Canadian Yacht Club Women’s Invitational Match Racing Regatta

The Royal Canadian Yacht Club in Toronto, Ontario, is pleased to be hosting a Women’s Invitational Match Racing Regatta deemed this year as the Canadian Women’s Match Racing Championships.

The event will take place September 5 – 7 2009. Racing is to take place in Sonars. This is an ISAF grade 3 event.

Women’s match racing has increased in popularity with it being named an Olympic event for 2012. RCYC’s Match Racing Program began in 2008 with a goal of promoting match racing within the club, but also to encourage sailors to take their skills further by competing in local and North American match racing regattas
