The Womens International Match Racing Association has joined forces with North U to offer a series of introductory clinics world wide. To encourage interest in womens match racing, WIMRA will bring some of the sports best champions, including Liz Baylis, Dave Perry and Katie Spithill, to share their expertise with the growing group of womens sailors looking to win in match racing.
As WIMRA Executive Director Liz Baylis explains, “We’ve seen a ground swell of interest in match racing and we are working to ride that wave. Our intent is to attract sailors and racers who are curious to learn about this exciting facet of our sport. At the conclusion of each clinic, we predict that they will be converted from ‘sailors’ to ‘match racers’ and be excited about joining the ranks of match racers competing around the world.”
