RCYC Women’s Match Race - Day One
Quick update from the Race Committee at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club Women’s Match Race being sailed in Toronto, Canada in Sonars: We completed the first 10 flight round robin yesterday in 5-8 knots. Canadian Olympian Jen Provan from the RCYC and her team were undefeated and finished the day 7-0. Jen was followed by her fellow RCYC member, Sarah Bury, who was 5-2. Meaghan Ruhlman from Ohio and Californians Kristen Lane, and Andrea Cabito were all 4-3. Kim Stuart from California is in 6th at 3-4, Jennifer Wilson from Chicago is in 7th at 1-6 and Anne-Marie Shewfelt from Toronto rounds out the fleet in 8th with a score of 0-7. The breeze is a bit stronger this morning and we are hoping to fit in the 2nd round robin today.
