Campeonato Brasileiro de Match Racing Feminino - 2009 - Final
In the women’s division of the Brazilian Match Racing Championship, Juliana Mota won by 2 to 1 over Renata Decnop. Mota’s "Feroz Team" fell behind on the scoreboard after losing the first match, but then got the equalizer. And in the decisive race, they took the the lead after Decnop received two penalties.

When crossing the finish line she hugged her companions Larissa Juk and Daniela Adler and then jumped off the boat in the water of Guaíba. "This win meant a lot to me. In March during the Pre-Olympic here in Porto Alegre I left crying because i was bad, now I celebrate, because the Brazilian Championship was tough, "said Mota, who in November took first place among women in South American match race in Chile.

In addition to winning the national title, Juliana Mota, 22, also took the lead for the vacancy in the 2010 Olympic Sailing Team of the Brazilian Sailing Federation. The Brazilian Championship was the first selective and the second will be the Pre-Olympic Event in February in Brasilia. "Our goal is to match race for the London Olympic Games in 2012."

In third place was the women’s team of Martha Roca who beat Raquel Aimone by 2 to 1. The final of the Brazilian Championship did not finish on Sunday for lack of wind. The weather was not very good with the entry of a cold front that brought rain to Porto Alegre, but allowed for all races in the finals of the championship.
