A vaga do match race na Equipe Brasileira de Vela será definida na semi-final da Pré-Olímpica, que está acontecendo em Brasília. Isto por que as tripulações de Renata Decnop e Juliana Mota, segunda e primeira colocadas no Brasileiro da Classe, irão se enfrentar em uma melhor de três. A equipe que ganhar passará para a final, contra a equipe de Juliana Senfft ou Marina Jardim, que estão disputando a outra semi-final.

O segundo dia de regatas da classe começou sem vento e as cinco tripulações conseguiram correr apenas uma regata pela manhã. Bom para Juliana Senfft e Raquel Aimone, que venceram Renata Decnop e Juliana Mota respectivamente. Após uma pausa para esperar o vento as meninas voltaram para a água a tarde e deram prosseguimento ao segundo round robin do campeonato.

Juliana Senfft e Renata Decnop venceram todas as regatas da tarde e passaram para a próxima fase em primeiro e segundo. Juliana Mota venceu apenas uma regata e Marina Jardim perdeu todas as do dia, e assim passaram para a próxima fase em terceiro e quarto respectivamente. Raquel ficou em quinto e não disputa mais regatas neste campeonato.

Com o vento muito rondado no final da tarde, a Comissão de Regatas conseguiu realizar apenas a primeira regata entre Juliana Senfft e Marina Jardim, com vitória de Juju. As outras regatas serão disputadas nesta sexta-feira, a partir das 9 horas da manhã.

That’s because the crews of Renata Decnop and Juliana Mota will face each other in a best of three semi-final. The team that wins will move to the final against the team of either Juliana Senfft or Marina Jardim, which are disputing the other semi-final.

The second day of racing class started with no wind and the five crews were able to run just one race in the morning. Good for Juliana Senfft and and Raquel Aimone, who beat Renata Decnop and Juliana Mota respectively. Juliana Senfft and Renata Decnop won all the races in the afternoon and went to the next phase in the first and second. Juliana Mota won only one race and Marina Jardim has lost all of the day, and so passed to the next stage in third and fourth respectively. Raquel was fifth and will not sail anymore in the championship.

With the wind been around much in the late afternoon, the race committee managed to effect only the first race between Juliana Senfft and Marina Jardim, with victory to Senfft. The other races will be contested on Friday, from 9 o’clock in the morning.
