WIMRA Launches Ecommerce Site
WIMRA expands its internet presence with ecommerce and gets its branded merchandise into the hands of fans worldwide

The Women’s International Match Racing Association (WIMRA) has added ecommerce to its newly designed website. Visitors to the site have the opportunity to purchase WIMRA branded t-shirts and other promotional items to show their support, and have items shipped directly to them, whether stateside or located internationally. WIMRA has created a line of branded products that have a broad appeal, not only for competitive women sailors, but for all sailing enthusiasts. The non-profit organization looks to the internet to help get its branded merchandise into the hands of fans and members to further support its global women’s sailing initiatives.

WIMRA’s products carry catchy and sometimes, even edgy phrases designed to create enthusiasm and promote brand loyalty. In 2009 the organization created a latex bracelet that carries the message, “Sail fast. Race smart. Win. WIMRA.” This ocean blue-colored version of the famous “LIVESTRONG” bracelet is being worn by thousands of supporters around the globe. Liz Baylis, WIMRA Executive Director, states, “WIMRA is moving forward in so many ways and adding ecommerce is just another venue in which we not only promote the organization, but provide our fans with things they would be proud to use and wear.” The organization has committed to adding new items to its ecommerce site regularly and welcomes suggestions for future promotional items.

WIMRA’s ecommerce site is fully integrated with PayPal™ and accepts credit card payments. To learn more, visit http://wimra.org/store.asp
