Segunda Jornada XII Criterium Internacional Femenino

Claire Leroy, Ana-Claire Le berre, Margarita Cameselle, Tamara Echegoyen, Camilla Ulrikkeholm, Anna Tunnicliffe, Katie Spithill y Lotte Meldgaard lucharán por pasar a semifinales en eI XII criterium Internacional femenino.

La primera vez en la historia del Criterium Internacional Femenino con grado uno ISAF que dos tripulaciones españolas superan la primera ronda y disputan los cuartos de final.

Los equipos franceses liderados por C. Leroy y AC le Berre dominan en la primera ronda de enfrentamientos todas contra todas obteniendo la primera y segunda posición en la clasificación con 8 victorias sobre 10 posibles.

En la segundo jornada del XII Criterium Internacional Femenino, las tripulaciones disfrutaron de un viento estable de 7 nudos, pudiéndose terminar los enfrentamientos todas contra todas, que permitió obtener una clasificación muy reñida que decide las ocho tripulaciones que pasan a los cuartos de final.

El paso a cuartos de final ha sido muy competido. Los equipos franceses patroneados por Claire Leroy y A.C. Le berre han obtenido 8 victorias sobre 10 posibles que les sitúan primera y segunda en la clasificación general de la ronda todas contra todas. La tercera posición ha sido para el equipo español liderado por M. Cameselle seguida de la también española T. Echegoyen. La quinta, sexta, séptima y octava posición han sido para C. Ulrikkeholm, A. Tunnicliffe, K. Spithill y L. Meldgaard respectivamente. Las ocho primeras clasificadas disputaran la fase de cuartos de final.

La alemana S. Hahlbrock, quinta del Ranking Mundial, tan solo ha obtenido tres victorias sobre diez posibles que la sitúan novena en la clasificación general quedando fuera de los cuartos de final. K. Zuiderbaan décima y S. Osborne onceava también han finalizado su participación en el Criterium Internacional Femenino.

La española Tamara Echegoyen dio la sorpresa en la primera jornada consiguiendo cinco victorias de siete posibles. En la segunda jornada no ha mantenido el nivel y ha perdido en todos los enfrentamientos que ha disputado. Las cinco victorias obtenidas en la primera jornada le clasifican por meritos propios en los cuartos de final del campeonato.

El equipo liderado por Marga Cameselles mejoró la navegación realizada en la primera jornada imponiéndose en las pruebas decisivas en las que competía contra rivales directos. Ha ido de menos a más obteniendo una magnifica cuarta posición en la clasificación final de la ronda todas contra todas.

La organización ha programado realizar en la tercera jornada los cuartos de final al mejor de cinco regatas y dar comienzo a la tanda de semifinales. Los enfrentamientos de cuartos de final se disputaran de la siguiente manera. La segunda del Ranking Mundial Claire Leroy, primera clasificada en la ronda todas contra todas, se jugará el pase a semifinales contra la octava clasificada en la primera fase L. Meldgaard. La francesa L. le Berre se enfrentará a la Australiana K. Spithill. La española M. Cameselle contra A. Tunnicliffe en un enfrentamiento que se prevé muy duro, la americana y medalla de oro olímpico en la Clase Laser está demostrando ser una especialista en la modalidad de Match Race. La española T, Echegoyen se disputará el paso a semifinales contra C. Ulrikkeholm.

La siguiente fase de la competición será muy disputada, todas las regatistas demostraran su alto nivel y las ganas de conseguir en Calpe un buen resultado que les mantenga en lo alto del Ranking Mundial.

Tunnicliffe, K. Spithill and L. Meldgaard respectively. The top eight will contest the quarter-final stage.

The German S. Hahlbrock, fifth in the World Ranking, has won just three wins out of ten possible finishing in ninth place in the overall standings remained outside the quarterfinals. K. Zuiderbaan tenth and S. Osborne finished eleventh.
