Buddy Melges Challenge - Preview

Fifteen teams from eight countries will be competing in the ISAF Grade 1 Buddy Melges Challenge hosted by the US Sailing Center Sheboygan (USSCS) in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA September 8th through 12th. The field includes eight teams from the top 20 in the world who are also preparing for the upcoming ISAF Women’s Match Racing World Championships to be sailed one week later in Newport, Rhode Island, USA.

The event will be sailed in the USSCS’s fleet of equally matched Elliott 6m match racing boats - the type of boats that will be used in the 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition.
